New Ronas
L-Theanine Ngamma-ethyl-L-glutamine
Food ingredients
CAS No.:3081-61-6
Molecular Formula:C7H14N2O3
Molecular Weight :174.1g/mol
Introduction:
L-Theanine is a unique free amino acid in tea. L-Theanine is glutamic acid γ-ethylamide with sweet taste. L-Theanine content varies with the variety and location of tea. L-Theanine content is about 1-2% of the new tea, which decreases with the fermentation process.
L-Theanine is a non-protein amino acid mainly found naturally in the green tea plant. It may have activity in modulating the metabolism of cancer chemotherapeutics agents.
Synthetic method:
Pyrrolidone carboxylic acid was prepared by heating l-glutamic acid at high pressure. It was made into a copper salt, then added with anhydrous ethylamine and heated at high pressure to obtain l-theanine.
Specifications:
Appearance: White crystalline powder
Applications:
1. L-Theanine can be used in food areas.
2. L-Theanine affects the central nervous system.L-Theanine significantly promotes dopamine release in the brain center, increasing the physiological activity of dopamin.
3. L-Theanine has antihypertensive effect.L-Theanine has been shown to reduce hypertension to a certain extent can also be seen as a stabilizing effect.
4. L-Theanine can affect memory.
5. L-Theanine can be used as health care products.
